WHO IS HELPED?

This approach of utilising the arts within a therapeutic context is used with success in children, adolescents, adults, older adults, groups, families, veterans, as well as people with chronic health issues or disabilities.

 

Studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of arts therapy, as used to assess and treat, among other difficulties, the following: 

  • anxiety, depression and other mental and emotional problems

  • family and relationship issues

  • substance abuse and addictions

  • eating disorders

  • abuse and domestic violence

  • social and emotional difficulties related to disability or chronic illness
